Quick post: What’s new

Work lately is kinda sucking. Not due to the work itself, but rather for the lack of it. I got my car fixed, from when the transmission died on me just before Christmas, and the bill was quite hefty so now with work availability being so lack luster it’s got me a bit nervous.

I picked up a few games for the DS in the last little while. I grabbed Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero and picked up Final Fantasy VI Advance off of eBay (okay so that’s not a DS game, but I’m playing it on my DS). I was playing them both back and forth, favoring Elebits at first and I’m currently near the end of the game (at least I think I am…) but I’ve kind of lost interest in it and am now playing FF6 instead. I never did beat this game back on the SNES. I once borrowed the cart off a friend but lost interest shortly after I hit the World of Ruin (about the halfway point of the game for those that don’t know [or care, heh]). That was over 10 years ago now though so as I’m playing through I’m not remembering much, just scattered things here and there. I also picked up Avalon Code because I played a demo for it and thought it was really interesting. I’m not playing it yet though, I’m fighting the urge to check it out because I know that if I get into it then FF6 is going to be left by the wayside and I’d really like to finish it this time.

My nephew is now eating baby food and drinking juice. I have a picture.

Fact: He is cute. That is all.

Chrono Trigger

For those of you that know me, I’ve been a bit of a Chrono Trigger nut for a long time. Ever since I first watched my parents play through the game actually (yeah my parents played video games). I ran a fan website for the game for the longest time (my first delvings into webdesign actually) and I must have played through the original SNES cartridge about 20 times (I had all my characters level 99, with all the stats maxed out except Magus’ magic power). So it should come as no surprise that when I read about a remake coming out for the DS I was more than excited. Even if it sucks balls I’ll probably still pick it up.

Gotta go.

Eye gotz a Nintendo Dee Ess

I bought a Nintendo DS (or NDS as I shall now call it) back in January (the 18th, exactly), and have been playing it almost RELIGIOUSLY ever since. I picked up Brain Age, and Kirby Squeak Squad - I beat the Kirby game in a matter of a few days, which was expected, the Kirby games aren’t usually hard, but they’re fun. Then I borrowed a few games from a friend – Lost Magic, and The New Super Mario Bros. I’ve mostly been playing Lost Magic (and now have my own copy) and am almost at the end. I’ve got something like over 40 hours of game play, so needless to say I’m enjoying it. I also bought a few games online, Mega Man ZX (which I’ve beaten on easy, and really enjoyed) and it’s sequel, ZX Advent, and also Children of Mana, then I picked up Drawn To Life at Wal-Mart. So yeah, I’m up to seven games already (the fastest any of my game collections has grown) so I should be busy for a while. Which is also my explanation for why I’ve been absent lately (I’ve also been working a fair amount) and why I’m going to continue to be fairly absent. I’ll try and put the game down every now and then to at least leave a passing comment on here though.
